Message from Bishop
June 2001
And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.
Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20 (NAS)

Progress Through Process
Most people like to go forward in their life. For
everybody, both believers and unbelievers, progress in one's life comes through
some sort of process. That may range from simply going through and
graduating from school to going through life's trials and tribulations.
Most believers think that since they are saved, sanctified and
filled with the Holy Spirit that somehow the Lord will exempt them from
hardships. The Apostle Paul tells us in Romans 2:11 that this is not the
case.
For there is no partiality with God.
Romans 2:11 (NAS)
In progressing through a process, we do not usually like the
process. We only like to progress. However, we must go through the
process to progress. We must go through the training.
The following are examples of people who progressed through
process:
| Process |
|
Progress |
| Noah - built an Ark,
persecuted by the people |
|
Family saved from the Flood |
| Abraham - left his family and
followed the Lord |
|
Father of many nations |
| Joseph - endured the pit and
the prison |
|
Elevated to the Palace |
| Moses - was a prince of Egypt
then was exiled |
|
Deliverer of the Hebrews |
| Job - afflicted by disease and
lost all that he owned and his children |
|
The Lord blessed Job more in his end than in
his beginning |
| Daniel - captive during the exile |
|
Counselor to the Babylonian kings |
| David - persecuted and hunted
by Saul |
|
Became King of Israel |
There were many others, but most importantly, there is the Lord
Jesus Christ. In His process, He alone endured persecutions, took on
our sins and died for us. His progress is that He became our Savior and is
now seated at the right hand of the Father.
So remember, your wilderness experience is not a punishment
but a preparation.
Endure your process so that you may progress.
