Message from Bishop
February 2002

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying,  "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
Matthew 28:18-20 (NAS)

Bishop and Mrs. Vernice Seriale, Sr.

You Have Not Passed This Way Before...

Then Joshua rose early in the morning; and he and all the sons of Israel set out from Shittim and came to the Jordan, and they lodged there before they crossed.  And it came about at the end of three days that the officers went through the midst of the camp; and they commanded the people, saying, "When you see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God with the Levitical priests carrying it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.  "However, there shall be between you and it a distance of about 2,000 cubits by measure. Do not come near it, that you may know the way by which you shall go, for you have not passed this way before."  Then Joshua said to the people, "Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you."
Joshua 3:1-5 (NAS)

Step back in your life and do not be in a hurry.  Where you are in your life, just as with Joshua, you have not passed this way before.  God will do great things for you and people will know that you are a child of God!  God will release His powers and wonders through His people who are pure and holy.

Joshua was called by God to be a leader.  Joshua did not have to worry  whether or not the people would follow him.  God told Joshua that He would make Joshua great in the sight on the people and back Joshua up.

Therefore, God will back you up and supernaturally give you what you will need to perform the task before yourself.  God is able to do for you what you cannot do for yourself, nor what any man or woman can do for you!

Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us
Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)

Since you have not been this way before, you may not know what to expect.  The last thing you need to do is to try to figure it out.  If God says He is going to do something - wait for Him - it might seem like a delay but He will be there when you need Him.

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalms 27:14 (KJV)

Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Psalms 37:7 (KJV)

Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it.
Psalms 37:34 (KJV)

And therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.
Isaiah 30:18 (KJV)

Again, He is able to do for you what you cannot do for yourself.  Believe it. Claim it.  Give Him the praise.  Get rid of all of your bad thoughts and sin that so easily weighs you down.

I will praise thee for ever, because thou hast done it: and I will wait on thy name; for it is good before thy saints.
Psalms 52:9 (KJV)

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)

When you pass through the trials and tribulations, God is there with you, always.
